Your phone, on your Mac.

Linkoid pairs Linkoid for Android™ with a native menu-bar app on your Mac. Notifications, messages, calls, codes, the clipboard, photos, files and even the camera come to the Mac, straight over your own Wi-Fi. No account. No cloud.

Everything on your phone, a glance away

Linkoid lives in the Mac's menu bar. Leave your phone in your pocket or on the charger and keep working.

Notifications

Your phone's notifications arrive as Mac banners. Reply inline, use their buttons, and clear them on the phone from the Mac. A searchable history keeps them for as long as you choose.

Messages

Read your text conversations and send new texts through the phone, with a full keyboard.

Calls

See who's calling and answer, decline or silence from the Mac, or place a call from it. The call itself stays on the phone.

Sign-in codes

A one-time code in a notification gets its own Copy button. Codes leave the history after ten minutes.

Clipboard

Copy on one, paste on the other, text and images both ways. Press ⌃⌥V in any Mac app to paste what's copied on the phone.

Photos and files

Browse the phone's photos and videos and drag them into an email. Open the phone's folders in a Files browser. Screenshots you take pop up on the Mac.

Send to Mac and Quick Share

Share anything to your Mac from the phone's share sheet, send files back, and swap files with nearby phones over Quick Share.

Phone as webcam

Use the phone's camera in FaceTime, Zoom and other Mac apps. It shows up as "Linkoid Camera".

Screen cast

Show the phone's screen in a window on the Mac and use it with your mouse and keyboard. Record it to a movie with one click.

Remote and touchpad

Turn the phone into a touchpad and keyboard for the Mac, a presentation clicker, or a remote for volume and media.

Handoff and hotspot

Continue the page you were reading on the phone in the Mac's browser, and back. Switch on the phone's hotspot and join it from the menu bar.

One search for the phone

Press ⌥Space to search notifications, messages, the clipboard, files and even the words in your photos and screenshots, read on the Mac itself.

Made for the Mac

A history that keeps up with you

  • Banners for what matters; each app can alert, stay quiet in the history, or stay off.
  • Mute one noisy chat without muting the app.
  • Follow the phone's Do Not Disturb, or let the Mac's Focus turn it on.
  • Keep history for a day, a week, a month, or forever. It lives only on your Mac.

Calls, without reaching for the phone

  • An incoming call shows on the Mac with Answer, Decline and Silence.
  • A call you missed waits in the history.
  • Click a number to call it from the phone.
Linkoid Tablet

Your tablet becomes another Mac display

Linkoid Tablet turns an Android tablet into an extra display for the Mac, over Wi-Fi. Scan the QR code on the Mac once and it's paired.

  • Extend the desktop, or mirror the Mac's main display.
  • Pick Larger Text, Default or More Space, changed in place.
  • Touch to point and click, two fingers to scroll and pinch.
  • Draw with the S Pen, with pressure and tilt, in apps that read a drawing tablet. Your palm is ignored while the pen is near.
  • Turn the tablet and the display turns with it.

How it works

Your phone talks to your Mac directly. There's no Linkoid server in the middle, and nothing to sign up for.

  1. Install both apps

Linkoid for Android™ on the phone, and Linkoid in the Mac's menu bar.

  2. Scan the code

The Mac shows a QR code. Scan it with the phone, or type the short code instead.

  3. That's it

Whenever they share a network, the phone finds the Mac and reconnects on its own.

Local network only

The phone and Mac connect over your Wi-Fi, or the phone's hotspot. Your notifications and files never pass through anyone else's servers.

No account

No sign-up, no email, no password. Pairing is between your two devices.

Encrypted and paired

Every connection uses TLS 1.3, and each device trusts only the other's certificate, learned when you paired.

Your history stays on your Mac

Notifications and clipboard history are kept on the Mac, for as long as you choose. No analytics, no ads.

Questions

What do I need?

A Mac with macOS 15 Sequoia or later, and a phone with Android 13 or later. Linkoid Tablet works with a tablet on Android 11 or later.

Does it need the internet?

No. The phone and Mac only need to be on the same network: the same Wi-Fi, or the Mac joined to the phone's hotspot. Linkoid has no servers of its own.

Do I need an account?

No. You pair the phone and Mac by scanning a code, and that's all.

When the phone rings, does the call's sound come through the Mac?

No. You can answer, decline or silence from the Mac, but the call itself stays on the phone: its earpiece, speaker or headset.

Will it drain my phone's battery?

Linkoid keeps one quiet connection to the Mac, and Android shows that it's running in a notification. Some phones close background apps aggressively; Linkoid walks you through letting it keep running.

Can I choose what reaches the Mac?

Yes. Each app can alert, go to the history quietly, or stay off, and you can mute single chats. The clipboard can sync both ways, one way, or not at all. Codes an app marks as private, such as an authenticator's, are sent only when you send them on purpose.

Does it work with iPhone, Windows or Linux?

No. Linkoid is made for Android phones and tablets with a Mac.

How much will it cost?

That hasn't been decided yet.

When can I get it?

Linkoid isn't on any store yet. This site will say when it is.
